Tal Johnson, Founding Partner
Prior to founding Adventure, Tal Johnson was CEO of Tazo Tea. He and a team of managers and partners grew Tazo from early stage operations into a national premium brand from 1995 to 1999. Starbucks purchased Tazo in 1999 and Johnson continued full-time as President until 2005.
Prior to Tazo, Johnson worked in private equity as Endeavour Capital's first associate. He was part of a team that made investments in radio, building products, manufacturing, and distribution. He also worked in a leveraged buyout group at PacifiCorp Financial and in IT consulting.
He has an MBA from Stanford Business School and a BA from Harvard College.
Adventure's advisory board includes Rocky Dixon (co-founder of Endeavour Capital), Darrin Kasteler (investment manager for ALCO Holdings LLC), Bill Stoller (co-founder of Express Personnel Services and Stoller Vineyards), and Mike Mueller (Deputy Chief Investment Officer for the state of Oregon).

Adventure investors include a range of CEO's, presidents, and entrepreneurs along with private equity professionals. As a group, they have decades of experience in consumer products, manufacturing, retailing, and various distribution and service businesses.
